Although she was born in Missouri, Pastor Melia spent the majority of her life thousands of miles away with her father, mother, and younger brother since feeling the direction of God to minister at a church in Fairbanks, Alaska. She personally felt God’s calling to a lifetime of ministry at the age of twelve, and soon after took steps to pursue it.
Melia attended an institute of technology during her high school years, specifically studying in the area of Business Administration and the Arts Audio/Visual in hopes of utilizing such skills in ministry. She applied to attend Central Bible College in the summer of 2009, and is planning to graduate in the spring of 2012 with a BA in Children’s Ministry.
Besides giving Melia the opportunity to receive an education at CBC, God gave her the precious treasure of meeting her husband (as of June 11th, 2011), Isaiah Jesch, to partner with her as they daily pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The couple enjoys ministering together in Children’s Church on Sunday mornings.
Pastor Melia has a heart to support parents as they equip their children to faithfully serve Jesus with Joy. She is motivated by her desire to see families grow together by the unity that Christ offers, and find peace in His faithful provision during their journey through childhood to adulthood. Pastor Melia supervises the area of Children’s Christian Education which encompasses children’s Sunday School, Girl’s Ministry on Wednesday evenings, Sunday morning pre-school and elementary ministry, and family special events.
Melia enjoys up-keeping her photography business, nature walks, quiet times, organizing and cleaning her home, and of course, spending time with God’s little ones!
