Inner City Outreach is a Christ-Centered outreach and provider of resources for people who are in poverty, homeless or on the brink of becoming homeless. We help to connect people with the tools and resources necessary to overcome even the most challenging circumstances. We provide a wide range of services, addressing the needs of the whole person: personal, spiritual and physical.
The primary goal of Inner City Outreach is to bring hope by demonstrating compassionate service and loving relationships right here in our own community of Springfield Missouri.
Serving free meals weekly. Every day we come face to face with a neighbor in need. It is our privilege to offer hope to those who desperately need it, and it is our hope that those we serve will recognize the hand of God reaching out to meet their needs.
Winter Coat DriveWe are consistently challenged to be creative in problem-solving. In doing so, we are able to address poverty and the homeless condition on multiple levels. We provide support through our own volunteer workforce and we promote and refer to the network of community service provider’s right here in Springfield. Physical, emotional, social, civil, and spiritual needs are all taken into consideration. All our services are offered free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our Inner City Outreach friends and family.
To start solving the problems in our day-to-day lives requires fulfilling the needs of the heart. We present to each person that we serve, the truth of a purposed filled life, which is a genuine relationship with God through Jesus.
Having compassion for the suffering, showing mercy to the unjust, building relationships with those we serve. Joining with people in prayer and demonstrating in word and deed that all things are possible with God.
Working with local and regional organizations, we place many in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Giving many a new journey of freedom from the prison of addictions, to attain a more purpose filled life.
